Scottish Challenge Cup
Attendance: TBC
Admission: £15
Glasgow Rangers FC play in Scotland's third tier - Scottish League One. Their home is Ibrox which can host a large crowd consisting up to 52,000 people. The club formed in 1872 and went into financial trouble just a year ago resulting in them dropping to the then Scottish third division; which they won comfortably.
The first thoughts on the impressive Rangers ground are positive but 'Away Chips' doesn't particularly ponder over the sight of the ground. Chips are the major factor in our Quest for football perfection; that's a shame no chips. So we managed to cobble together £11 for 2 drinks and sausage roll and a burger; with a programme and admission we are already far out of pocket; not a problem except for the distinct taste of cardboard from the proclaimed Sausage Roll, now rotting away in the stands at Ibrox. Whilst the bland burger left me unimpressed. So really £11 for two drinks; great value. In the way of facilities; well no. There is a large megastore in the stadium surroundings and a dingy ticket office. Inside the ground there were the trough-lined toilets and useless food places.
The programme was £3 at Rangers, standard, up to a really high quality and was worth the cash at least so positive yet i was more entertained at the League Cup results on my phone then the match. The pre-match hype, although the Ramsden Cup, was a very high bar of expectation. Parking seemed to be a nightmare in the ground with actually little parking anyway in the surrounding ground of the stadium, most fans took an arduous trek to Ibrox.
