English FA Cup
Attendance: 136
Admission: £5
West Didsbury & Chorlton currently play in the NWCFL Premier Division; following a last day promotion from Division One last season. Their home ground is Brookburn Road in Chorlton and the ground consists of the one main structure which is the clubhouse which contains a small area of seating, changing rooms and a very nice refreshments/cafe style area. There was a good amount of parking just inside and outside of the ground with helpful and friendly staff around the ground.
The admission to the match was £5 which is standard at this level, the lack of facilities in the ground makes the value lacking but the high standard of opponent makes up for that and there are some ground developments going on at Brookburn Road. The WD&C programm costs £2, a professional programme with a nice lay-out with good content and good use of photos but maybe slightly pricey but overall good quality. The food is averagely priced for the division with crisps, chocolate, coke (the three c's; would be 4 but no chips) costing £2.20. The refreshment on offer were mostly confectionery with the hot product being the pies.
Overall Brookburn Road is a nice, small ground with a great set up; the ground is filled with character and charm. It was surely a disappointing result for the FA Cup dream; a local club you can easily love.
