Tuesday 1st October
NWCFL Premier Division
Attendance: 64
Admission: £5/£2.50/£1
Abbey Hey are a football side in the NWCFL Premier Division, following promotion last season from Division one. They play their home games at the Abbey Stadium which consists of an open area with one covered stand with around 100 seats. They have a large clubhouse adjacent to the stand, which can accommodate many people. There is a large amount of parking around the pitch and the ground staff are very friendly.
The admission to the match was £5/£2.50/£1 for Adults/Concessions/Junior which is the standard at this level and value for money for the entertaining game on offer. The Abbey Hey programme costs £1 and professional programme and you pay for what you get, a fairly small programme with a nice lay-out. The offering of food at Abbey Hey was very limited to confectionery goods and Pies. A pie cost £1.30 and most of the stuff on offer was reasonably priced.
Overall the ground has a nice charm with a cheap night
for admission, programme and a pie only costing £7.30 it is definitely a ground
to visit with good lighting.
